Localization
|
Localization involves all stages of translation and also includes other procedures:
- Texts that are culturally and politically sensitive are adapted with due care, and client's approval is sought before the final decision is made.
- Critical words and phrases in a source text -such as slogans in a sales bulletin- are translated/adapted carefully and the client is provided with optional translations and their approval is sought before the final decision is made.
- Formats of dates, times and numbers are converted into the target language
- Currency and other values are converted into the target language
- Exemplary names, addresses and similar information are adapted into the target language
